What is your story?

My beautiful brother had a very unexpected stroke. It has deeply affected me, as I care for and love him so much. It is difficult since we don't live in the same country. My brother has helped me through so much in my life, and all I want to do is love and support him. I love him dearly. My beautiful brother, Daniel, was diagnosed with a stroke in July 2025, and it was very upsetting for me because I live in another country, and I really felt that I couldn't help. I worry about my brother all the time because he's my baby brother, and I love him so much. All I want to do is look after him. But I'm glad he's on the road to recovery.

What would you tell the medical team, if you could now?

I wish the medical team had diagnosed his stroke earlier. Before, it was just a hepatic migraine.

What would you like those around you to know?

All strokes are different. I did not realize that. After extensive reading and research, I gained a better understanding of my brother’s condition. I always thought that a stroke affected only the left side of your body, and that you always had something wrong on that side. However, through my brother's stroke, I have learned that there are many different types of strokes. All I want is for my brother to feel better again because I love him.
